Lullaby Lambs of 2009
Java had Cappucino and Latte- January 15, 2009
Java is one of new our ewes this year, she has a mind of her own and is our only ewe that likes to run Where Ever she wants! She wears us out chasing her!!!

Cappucinno age 4 months
Handsome Cappucinno! He is such a sweet heart, with the most expressive eyes.

Latte age 4 months
Latte on the other hand is handsome too, but he tends to be more like his mother....The Wild Thing!

Penny had Nickel and Dime- January 23, 2009
Penny is another new ewe this year. She is not really a girly girly, she prefers to be on her own and did not want any flowers put on her during her photo shoot! She gave us a workout!

Nickel age 5 months
Nickel would be one of our popular guys born in this lamb crop 0f 09. He`s our biggest guy weighing in at 187lbs and he also has the deepest baah in our barn. When you call Nickels name, he responds back to you! He also is so personable, that if you are in his pen you better be petting him or Watch Your Back!

Dime age 5 months
Dime is Nickel`s brother. Dime is a very sweet boy, not quite as demanding as his bro!

Bo Derek had Cameron Diaz- February 1, 2009
Bo Derek is one of our older ladies. She has always been a good ewe for us and likes her food a lot! She got her name...because she is a #10, of coarse!

Cameron Diaz age 4 months
Cameron Diaz Bo Derek`s daughter is a pretty little ewe, just like her mommy and has a tag #10 to.

Daffodil had Baaaab- February 3, 2009
Sweet and calm Daffodil. She was born three years ago, out of a favorite ewe of ours named Daisy. Daffodil got so sick when she was a lamb, the vet said she would never make it! Well she never made it to county fair, but she pulled through her illness and is a very loyal ewe! Always right by your side!

Baaaab age 4 months
Baaaab is quite the guy! He`s a character and a sweetheart all in one! My favorite memory of Baaab from this summer was when our club members were working with their sheep to train them for the county fair show. All of the sheep that night were really not behaving themselves, it was getting to be feeding time and their were hungry! Well that night, we had one of True Buddy Special Needs Sheep Club members wanting to get in more practice to. We gave Ryan Baaab and I watch this lamb stand as still as can be, amongst all the crazyness around him. It was as if he knew needed to be careful with his friend! Baaaab`s other glorious moment is when Morgan and he won Grand Champion Showmanship this summer at the Sarpy County Fair 2009! Where Baaaab`s name came from? During lambing season we are always trying to come up with fun names. We ask everyone to help out and get creative. This year my nephew Tyler from California came through with an original for this cool guy......BUT you have to make sure, you don`t say Bob!

Dottie had Sunshine, Marshmallow, and Smore- February 2, 2009
Miss Dottie is from the same lambing year as Daffodil. You can tell they have the same dad, Jester who was a big tall skinny guy! Dottie was born with dots all over her and that is where her name came from. My son Drew has shown Dottie since she was little, so in last years show when the judge said she is not good quality...Drew with a smile on his face, just looked down at Dottie and started petting her head. He didn`t care!
Dottie had her first baby was last year of 2008. She had a girl and her name is Polka Dot!

Sunshine a couple of hours old and still not coming around! After three hours of warming and working with her, Morgan was able to bring her life! What a Miracle!
Sunshine (the bottle baby) age 1 month
Well what can we say, but a STAR was born! Since Sunshine was a triplet her mommy could not care for all of them, she was a bottle baby. So she got lots of extra TLC and wore diapers in the house for a couple of months, until she was big enough to be on her own!

Sunshine age 4 months
Sunshine was so famous, she was asked to star in a play at the Omaha Community Playhouse! This is what she wore into the theather every night! She received first class treatment and the door was ALWAYS held open for her!

Marshmallow age a few hours
Marshmallow was Dottie`s only baby born with white, with lots of black spots! What a cutie!

Marshmallow age 4 months

Smore age a few hours
Smore was all legs when he was born, just like his mom. He was the first triplet up and going!

Smore age 4 months
Smore is a very nice guy, he is calm and patient with all that goes on around him and loves to nuzzle!

Baaaab, Marshmallow, Jet , Smore, and Cameron Diaz
Beauty had Beast and Bell- February 4, 2009
Beauty has always been our prettiest ewe! She is the mother to our "Special Ewe" Jewel, that created a memorable story with Katy True at the State Fair last year. This is a wonderful bloodline!

Beast age 4 months
Well he started off a beast big and crazy, but he has turned into the easiest going guy. He is always ready to go on a walk with the dogs and loves for the dogs to kiss him all over his face!

Bell age 4 months
Since Bell was a baby she would always run and jump on you and if you were sitting on the ground, she would be on your back! Over the summer I was able to teach her to hug on command, she loves the attention! Bell was a failure thrive the first 5 months of her life and I did not know if she would make it day to to day, even with great vet care! Because she was so small, she did not go to State Fair with us and was left at home with few friends . The night we got back home to our barn. I was taking off halters in the pens and pretty soon out of no where Bell is jumping up to give me a hug! What a Sweetie!

Babycakes had Meatcakes and Cheesecake-Febuary 10, 2009
Because of complications during birth, Babycakes had to have a c-section. Since Morgan wants to be a vet someday, she came right after school to assist our vet, Dr. J. throughout the surgery. We are sad to say Babycakes did not make it. We had been hoping for Babycakes to have girls to carry on the "Cake Family Name Tradition" on the farm, but we ended up with the two most adorable baby boys!

Meet Meatcakes! EWE can just call him Meaty!
Since Meaty was an orphan he and his brother were the third bottle babies of this year`s herd right behind Sunshine! Which was a more manageable number then last year`s herd of 2008, when we had 10 bottle babies! Meaty was born coal black and is a handsome little guy. Even with his funny little overbite, he still is adorable. This set of twin boys is right behind Sunshine in their popularity. They go to every activity with us and any size child can enjoy them! They are a delight!

This is Cheesecake, but he goes by Cheesy!
Cute Cheesy is a lighter gray color; he was born with a unique little growth on his neck. It`s nothing to worry about, but just makes him more distinguishable from the herd. These pictures were taken right before Meaty and Cheesy`s first hair cut! These two boys favorite thing to do is go for a bike ride or a walk with the dogs and their big sister Sunshine! They run, jump and kick up their heels! One more thing to tell EWE about this special little guy, in our True Buddy Program this year he was our most used lamb out of our whole herd and his BIGGEST True Buddy fan of them all was Broc! Just saying Cheesy`s name brings a BIG old smile to Broc`s face! Check out Broc and Cheesy`s True Buddy Sheep Show pictures.
Honey had Bumble and Bee- February 17, 2009
Honey is our most mature lady of the farm. She is easy to keep and always has great babies and this years were no exception, they were they wooliest ones we had with the cutest faces!

Bumble age 1 month
Bumble was born with the biggest ears of any of the babies! He was such a mama`s boy that he would escape to be with his mommy when all the other lambs had been weaned for months!

Bumble 4 months

Bee age 1 month
Bee was a mommy`s girl too and would complain and get so upset when we would try to work with her! She has turned out to a beautiful ewe lamb and gets attention from us when she puts her front legs on you!

Bee 4 months
