![]() | January 31, 11:30 pm our first little Luv A Lamb twins were born to our ewe, Big Mama. It was a very exciting, with club members Morgan and Ashley there to deliver these babies. For Ashley this was her first lamb delivery and what a great job she did! February 1, 8:00 am Jamocha had a beautiful single coal black little ewe and club member Jacquelyn was there to warm and cuddle the new baby with delight! She said "This is the best day of my life!". More to come...Stay tuned! Thank EWE to all girls for your awesome work! February 3rd, 2010 as of 12:00 pm no new babies! We hope this doesn`t mean they`re all going to come at once!!! Yikes!!! |

![]() | February 2, 2010 no new babies as of 12:00 pm today, but it was a fun morning with the new lambs, as they start to run & play! Jenna & Jaclyn are two great girls that are home-schoolers. Lucky for Luv A Lamb they are there to help out & start socializing our babies from day one. This way our lambs are use to humans & ready to go out and touch people’s lives & be a "True Buddy" to our wonderful gifted club members! ![]() |
![]() ![]() Jenna and Jaclyn`s pictures of the triplets. These little girls are too cute especially the one with its tongue out. We also think it's funny how Jaclyn and the baby look so alike! We look forward too seeing Peace, Love, and Joy grow up. Written By: Jenna & Jaclyn *More stories from the youth of Luv A Lamb to come! ![]()
![]() | February 4th, 2010 It was an exciting morning here at Luv A Lamb, with one of our older ewes, Psycho, that had a set of triplets! What makes this even more unique, is that they all are girls! These three lambs range in size quite a bit, with the biggest girl needing to get on her knees to nurse from mom! When coming up with names, we have to take in account the purpose for our whole sheep program & clubs. It is to make a difference with children of every ability & from all walks of life through various ways. The one thing that our club members are the most proud of, is using our sheep to share "Cheer With EWE"! This is done with on-site visits with our sheep, sending cards that are pictures of our herd & emailing with medically challenged & special needs children! Since these three little ewes are so sweet, we decided to name them Peace, Love & Joy. With names like those we are bound to send some of those good thoughts to kids that need a little extra "Love", "Joy" to kids that need a laugh & "Peace" to the children of Haiti, that our hearts go out to! Check back tomorrow, EWE will be able to read about Jenna & Jaclyn`s experience helping with the lambs & some of their funny pictures they captured of these babies! ![]() ![]() February 5th, 2010 Howdy To All! Here at Luv A Lamb we would like to introduce EWE to the newest member of our herd, meet Cowboy! Cowboy was born a single to our ewe Rose. It was a good thing Rose only had one, because he is the biggest baby we have so far! With all of Cowboy’s black curly wool, we think he kind of has an Elvis do! Photos By: Jenna ![]() |
A Sponsorship Update
This "Special Thank EWE" Goes Out To Tyler Of California!
Tyler EWE`re friend BAAAAB would like to thank you for being his sponsoring this year!
EWE have no idea how much BAAAAB appreciates your kindness!
Also a big shout out goes to BAAAAB`s special friend Ryan. Ryan was BAAAAB`s True Buddy in sheep club this past summer and is looking forward to seeing Ryan’s smiling face in our 2010 session!

| February 6th, 2010 As of 8:00pm no new babies. We will see what the night brings. We have had some club members working here over the weekend and hoping to catch a baby being born. Club members Jack & Jessica worked with the babies and also had fun taking pictures of all the little cuties! Pictures By: Jack & Jessica Jack & Jessica`s Day With The New Babies I was in the pen with Psycho, trying to check on her babies, when she gave me one of her moves that she`s known for doing and this is would be how she got her name! She striked at me with her front leg, luckily she missed me! It is a good thing Psycho now has a little "Peace, Love & Joy" (aka her babies names) in her life, it`s just what she needs to chill out! Written By: Jack |
Jack & I were taking pictures of all the lambs, when I was able to get Cowboy to come over toward us. I had my hand on the bar of the pen, when all of a sudden Cowboy started sucking on my thumb! He eventually got tired of my thumb and went on to my pinky finger, it was very funny! Written By: Jessica ![]() ![]() ![]() February 11th, 2010 Today was a very long day with two sets of twins being born and with both pairs needing extra assistance. Our ewe Heidi had a boy & a girl in the wee hours of the morning. Then Beauty had the same with a boy & a girl being born around 11am. It ended up that both girls were too weak to stay with their mothers, so that means 3 bottle babies so far this year! The first bottle baby Saint was glad to have friends! Beauty's babies have not been named yet, but Heidi's two are named "Hershey & Kiss". Luv A Lamb Baby Name Contest Help us brainstorm! Think of original names for our little luvies. If we use your ideas EWE`re name will be put on our website with a picture of the lamb and EWE will also win a Luv A Lamb Poster of your choice! Email us now! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
February 10, 2010 The last of couple of days have been a bit challenging with a snow storm and a cold front moving through Nebraska. The days always get a bit longer, making sure all babies and the rest of the herd stays healthy with the frigid temps. On Monday Feb. 8th we had two new arrivals when Daffodil had twins! She had the most adorable little boy & girl lambs with cool black wool. Unfortunately these two were born a little weaker than then most, so they required extra care. Who would have thought that the little girl would be up and going before her brother, so we officially have our first bottle baby of the year! The names of these two little ones were inspired from the Super Bowl 2010. This was not only a great game, but it was the character of the Saints that made a difference in the outcome. The Saints played their game for something more than themselves. They played for all of the people that were affected by Hurricane Katrina. Our new little lambs will be name Saint & Breeze. This is the basis of what our sheep programs & our "True Buddy Special Needs Sheep Club" stands for, when you make your day "Not All About EWE"! This is when you have the most success in life! ![]()
February 16th, 2010- No babies yet. With the cold weather we are just trying to keep everyone healthy & take care of 3 bottle babies! We have our hands full with these wild little ones! February 17th, 2010- It happened again, another set of triplet girls! We are working really hard with these three to keep them going with tube feedings. Two of these little girls are pretty small and one of the sisters might end up silver, like Penny’s baby last year, Nickel. February 18th, 2010- OH MY! Triplets Again! Dottie had three babies in the wee hours of the morning! This time there was two boys & a girl. One of the boys is a really cool dapple color of white & black and both boys have the same dot of white right on top of their heads! EWE can tell these are Dottie’s babies; they have her giant size too! Pictures Coming Soon! Read on to find out why there has not been any up dates lately! Feb. 18th Honey had really big twin boys that have cool markings. Feb. 18th Pancake had twin girls that have the exact same coloring as Honey's babies and they are just adorable! Feb.20th Holy Smokes Triplets Again! Java had two boys & a girl. Feb. 20th Bambi had twins, a boy & a girl. Feb. 22nd Pebbles had a boy that is very unusual in color; he has white speckles, with brown and black markings. We will work on updated pictures and stories as soon as we have a chance!

| A Special Little EWE We knew there was something special about Sunshine from the time she was born! When Sunshine was born, she was the smallest of the triplets. She was extremely weak and almost did not make it. But with care and her determination, she came to life! We are very thankful Sunshine hung in there, because this one little ewe went on to touch thousands of lives, in her short year she has been with us! Sunshine`s Year Get This Girl An Agent! Sunshine has stayed so busy since she was little, we think this lamb could use an agent!

Our Winning Entry For The INFO USA Marketing Package Giveaway
The background: Our business started by partnering special needs kids with one of our real live sheep to show at the fair. We have taken our sheep to multiple places in our community and have worked with many special needs children. In our new 2009 program we had 15 True Buddy Sheep Club memebers. They worked hard all summer to star in their own show at the County Fair. Read the amazing story of how Katy, who suffers from Rhetts, and Jewel became True Buddies. http://sossheepclub.yolasite.com/true-buddy.php.
This grew into an educational program to include 4H kids who adopt our sheep and learn to care for, train and show. We have 50 kids who are part of the adoption program. Our sheep also go on-site to schools, nursing homes, SAC Youth Day, as well the special needs program at Papillion Junior High. The goal is to teach leadership, communication, and life skills. For many kids, this is an educational opportunity to learn about photojournalism, veterinary skills, public speaking, and helping others. http://sossheepclub.yolasite.com/lullaby-lambs.php
It was a nice goodwill idea – but expensive. So our business had to make money somehow. I’m a photographer so it is only natural to take pictures of the sheep. So the kids and I “dress up” the sheep as divas and create cards, calendars, photo books of each new herd and sell our merchandise. View our photo gallery. http://sossheepclub.yolasite.com/photo-gallery.php
Where we are today: Our products include lamb stuffed animals and “virtual adoption” called LuvALamb. Just think of Beanie Babies and Webkins but better. Our product is unique because our stuffed lambs are created in the likeness of a real animal that people can “adopt” and “follow” online. And they can follow the special needs stories of the kids, such as Katy, as well as their charities and the stars that support the charity. Our children represent 10 charities.
A portion of the proceeds goes as a donation to the different charities. We have three irresistible ingredients that make this small business attractive to the public, the media and to the viral social space…. kids, animals and humor. The promotional potential is unlimited with the new social media avenues. Our sheep make great viral photos and videos with great human interest stories to share.
Our biggest challenge: Getting the word out and driving sales of our LuvALamb merchandise. My current site is http://sossheepclub.yolasite.com/
Because LuvALamb is ideal for viral, we believe it will not be an expensive endeavor to adopt our business. It also makes great PR for infoGroup and more exposure for you among the non-profit community. A win-win for us both. Please adopt our business and help us Share Our Sheep (SOS).
